SOCA QUEEN Fay Ann Lyons-Alvarez say’s her husband, Ian ‘Bunji Garlin’ Alvarez’s soca 2013 hit ‘Differentology’ has been remixed and making waves in Sweden.

Yesterday iTunes published Garlin’s soca hit as #2 most downloaded song.

Speaking with TTnewsflash a short while ago, Fay Ann said she is elated with her husband’s success, “I am very, very happy because he worked very hard and kept his persistence”.

“When he started doing that style of music everyone criticised him but when we went overseas and did the European tour, his style of music from soca to raga soca to Differentology was accepted and well-loved.  It has been exceptional and Bunji is very versatile and I admire him for that, when I listen to his songs from fast to free-style I swear its two different persons and that shows to me his versatility,” Fay Ann added.

Fay Ann revealed to TTnewsflash that a Swedish DJ recently remixed Bunji’s ‘Differentology’ and is currently being played on a popular radio station in Sweden.

She says she and her husband are looking forward for 2013 tours to Los Angeles and again throughout Europe.

With respect to Trinidad and Tobago Carnival 2013, Fay Ann said she is very busy with her law studies and predicts that she may be studying backstage and then pausing for a cause “to perform onstage”.

“It’s very, very busy and from 2009 to this Carnival 2013, I believe will be the second most interesting carnival seasons for me based on recent developments in my life,” Fay Ann said.

When asked if the soca couple will be competing in Carnival 2013, Fay Ann laughingly said:  “We have not said anything with that yet.  We are just watching at the moment”.
